Willoughby Council now managing tennis facilities

Willoughby City Council officially took over management of the facilities of both our site and that of the adjacent Forest View Tennis Club on Sunday April 1st. The combined site is now known as The Willis Recreation and Sports Centre and is currently a 15 court site. Council expect to convert two of the courts at the Forest View site into multi-sport courts in the future... more

Tip No. 16 – Improving a one-handed backhand

If you’re ‘old school’ (like Federer!) and hit a one-handed backhand, here’s a simple tip… make sure your hitting arm is straight at the point of contact. The most common mistake causing a one-handed backhand to go wrong is a bent arm when contacting the ball.
